After a year of virtual meetings, our women’s club was looking for a way to have a fun fundraiser for our annual scholarship and to celebrate the end of lockdowns. A hybrid-style auction with virtual and in-person elements sounded like a great solution, so we looked to Qgiv for help. They turned out to be a great partner offering excellent training by our amazing Qgiv onboarding specialist, ongoing support, and a user-friendly platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once we got set up, we only needed one or two calls to the help desk to finalize our vision. We were able to configure all the sponsors, auction items, tickets, VIP guests, and more. It was important to us that people could not only see the items in person, but also that remote supporters had a way to bid since we were starting to come out of the pandemic at the time.
We liked the fact that those who support us could donate even if they did not want to bid on our items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We loved that we could have videos from our previous scholarship winners on the auction site, and by the end of the campaign, we were amazed by the total amount raised! We did an analysis and determined the cost of the Qgiv package we purchased was worth it. We brought in more than twice the cost when compared to a paper and pen auction. We believe this was because of the Qgiv platform; we could accept donations, engage remote bidders, and utilize the store for some last-minute items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our auction was live for 5 days and ended with an in-person cocktail party where those at home could continue to bid remotely, and in-person guests could bid using their phones or take advantage of computer stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the best features was the quick auction close out. We appreciated the convenience of being able to close out the auction with credit cards our bidders were able to keep on file. Having done auctions in the past, we know that wrapping up the bidding and closing an auction is often time consuming and can be frustrating. It was simple and neat with Qgiv.
