Last week, we gave you some web design best practices<\/a> for making your nonprofit\u2019s website a powerful fundraising tool<\/a>. This week, we wanted to show you some websites that are using some of those same elements or techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check out these examples of awesome nonprofit websites!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.\u00a0Nourishing Hope<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n

The Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry) website is an excellent example of a clean, organized, and well-branded website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They make their mission clear, share recent stats, and reinforce their message with high quality photos and videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019ve even used custom CSS coding to make the buttons on their donation form match the unique, stylized buttons they use throughout their website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.\u00a0VISTE: Volunteers in Service to the Elderly<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n

<\/a>This page has a few elements that are really handy for its visitors. Aside from the fact that the \u201cDonate\u201d button stands out from the rest of the page,\u00a0the photos that they included feature the actual people that benefit from their services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.\u00a0CityTeam<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>The people at CityTeam have a ton of navigation options for visitors to their sites, but they still manage to make it easy to navigate. Even with 14 different buttons at the top of the page, visitors can find the \u201cDonate\u201d button without a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also\u00a0put a creative spin on one of the pictures featured in their slideshow\u2014it\u2019s eye-catching and timely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.\u00a0Pittsburgh Glass Center<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n

\"Pittsburgh<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

Pittsburgh Glass Center uses a video header to draw visitors\u2019 attention and show how their art is made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their donate button is large and colorful and moves with the visitor as they scroll up and down the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A moving sidebar on the page offers links to class signups, their account, and other relevant links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.\u00a0Goodwill South Florida<\/a><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n

This website does an excellent job of using high quality images in a rotating header to draw the eye to important messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their page is branded in the organization\u2019s colors except for the red Give Now button at the top of the page, which stands out and becomes more noticeable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just beneath the header are four icons that direct visitors to commonly visited areas of the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
