We know that stress levels are high because of COVID-19, but we thought it would be nice to take time out to appreciate the little things \u2013 in this case, World Poetry Day. What better way to celebrate poetry than to write poems about our favorite subject \u2013 you! Our staff sat down and wrote some haiku in honor of nonprofits. Thank you for all you do to make the world a better place.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Well-meaning board member asks,
\u201cHave we tried Oprah?\u201d<\/p>\r\n
\u201cAre you from heaven?\u201d
You ask. \u201cOr are you a new
\u00a0recurring donor?\u201d<\/p>\r\n
What rest is so sweet
As sleeping in after the
Annual gala?<\/p>\r\n
The world is hurting\u2014
That\u2019s when we do the most good.
We will get better.<\/p>\r\n
Thank you, nonprofits.
When the world is falling down,
You help us get up.<\/p>\r\n
In times of darkness,
We all take comfort in light.
You all are the light.<\/p>\r\n
Hang in there, you guys\u2014
Walk, play, read, breathe, and stay home.
Make all virtual.<\/p>\r\n
The world is better
Because you make it that way,
Awesome nonprofits<\/p>\r\n
Giving of yourself
Is the greatest kindness you
