On the night of March 16th, news broke of a shooting in Atlanta. Eight people were shot, six of whom were Asian-American women. We strongly condemn this reprehensible behavior and any form of targeted violence. In support of the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, we\u2019ve compiled a list of nonprofit organizations you can support to help stop the hate. Many of the organizations also offer helpful educational resources for the AAPI community and their allies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Awareness and Education Resources<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stopaapihate.org\/\"><strong>Stop AAPI Hate<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>was founded to collect reports of harassment, violence, and discrimination against members of the AAPI community.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihollaback.org\/bystanderintervention\/\"><strong>Hollaback! And Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC)<\/strong><\/a> created a free bystander intervention training program for allies of the AAPI community.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.standagainsthatred.org\/stories\"><strong>AAJC<\/strong><\/a> has a story section on their website devoted to sharing incidents of anti-Asian racism.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/life\/2021\/03\/17\/violence-against-asians-on-the-rise-how-be-ally-to-community-amid-racism\/4730202001\/\"><strong>USA Today<\/strong><\/a> wrote an article on how to be an ally to members of the AAPI community.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecut.com\/2021\/02\/the-us-is-seeing-a-massive-spike-in-anti-asian-hate-crimes.html\"><strong>The Cut <\/strong><\/a>wrote an article covering the spike in anti-Asian hate crimes.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/news\/2020\/05\/12\/covid-19-fueling-anti-asian-racism-and-xenophobia-worldwide#\"><strong>Human Rights Watch <\/strong><\/a>wrote an article on the global spike in anti-Asian racist rhetoric and events.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/onlinegrad.pepperdine.edu\/blog\/prejudice-discrimination-coping-skills\/\"><strong>Pepperdine University<\/strong><\/a> wrote a guide that explores the prevalence of implicit bias, and provides resources on both dealing with discrimination and being a good ally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Organizations to Donate To<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advancingjustice-atlanta.org\/\"><strong>Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC) Atlanta<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advancingjustice-aajc.org\/\"><strong>Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC)<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/support-aapi-community-fund\"><strong>AAPI Community Fund<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/asianpacificfund.org\/make-an-impact\/solidarity\/\"><strong>Asian Pacific Fund<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cpaboston.org\/\">Chinese Progressive Association<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asianamericanadvocacyfund.org\/\"><strong>Asian American Advocacy Fund<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hateisavirus.org\/\"><strong>Hate is a Virus Community Action Fund<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asianmhc.org\/\"><strong>Asian Mental Health Collective<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aalead.org\/\"><strong>Asian American Youth leadership Empowerment and Development (AALEAD)<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imreadymovement.org\/donate\"><strong>Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Women Lead&nbsp;<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Volunteer Opportunities<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>TurnOut Support Oakland Chinatown Coalition\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Keep an Eye on This Blog <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep an eye on this page as we update it with more resources for members of the AAPI community.
