It’s Thanksgiving, so we here at Qgiv sat down and made a list of things we’re thankful for. Here are some things that made it onto that list.

1. Thanksgiving

Even though we don’t always need a reason to eat four slices of pie, we’re always happy when one comes up.

2. Board Games

If you stop by the Qgiv office around lunchtime, there is a real possibility that you’ll find us playing some kind of game. One of our favorites is Liar’s Dice, but we also love board games like Uno (which we rarely play any more after a particularly long and competitive round), Coup (which gets hilariously competitive), and Ticket to Ride. We love that board games give us a chance to spend time with each other, even if we do get a bit competitive.

3. Beta Testers

When we build big features or updates, we depend on our clients beta testing them before they roll out to all of our organizations. If you’ve been a beta tester with us, we are so thankful for you! We always test everything we do, but we know that everyone uses them differently. Beta testers, you’re our heroes!

4. Holiday Gift Baskets

We just got a gift basket from a vendor, and you should have seen the stampede there was to get to it. One of our sales team members even called dibs on the candy corn before we’d taken off the cellophane! For our friends who have sustained us with fancy dips and unusual flavors of tortilla chips: we salute you.

5. The Annual Thanksgiving Potluck

One of our favorite holiday traditions is the annual Thanksgiving potluck. It’s a chance for everyone in the company to sit down together and enjoy a ton of different dishes brought in by our employees. People get pretty creative, too; this year, our menu included things like bacon-wrapped tater tots, two kinds of meatballs, and home-made banana pudding. Tasty!

6. 2016

2015 has been an amazing year. We launched an updated version of our peer-to-peer fundraising platform. We went to amazing conferences and met some of the most innovative fundraisers in the country. Our clients got to use shiny new front-end forms. We worked with nonprofits all over the country to update control panels to be more useful than ever. We met and worked with thousands of organizations all over the United States (and up into Canada!). This year has been amazing… can you even imagine how awesome next year will be?

7. Your Stories

Several of our clients have shared some absolutely mind-blowing stories with us this year. We learned about an 8-year-old in Utah who raised money for a little girl on the other side of the world, about an organization who raised more than $84,000 in 24-hours, about a school that set out to raise $5,000 and finished with $12,000, and so much more. Your stories are what makes us love our jobs. Thank you for sharing them.

8. Cake Days

Every month, we have a birthday party for the Qgiv employees who have had a birthday that month. We also have cake days whenever we feel like it; a lost bet and National Cat Day have both been occasions that called for cake this year.

9. #GivingTuesday

Real talk, #GivingTuesday is one of the most fun days of the year here at the Qgiv office. We’re all usually glued to X, where we’re keeping an eye on the #GivingTuesday hashtag and getting excited when we see one of our organizations. We also love all the podcasts that happen today — we watched them for hours last year!

10. Our Clients

I mean, this pretty much says it all. We work with the best people in the world! It’s such a thrill to see nonprofits of all sizes all over the country working to make the world a better place. Whether you’re a tiny church in Nebraska or a huge nonprofit in California, we know how much work you put into your mission. You’re an inspiration, and we love being able to be a tiny part of your success.

Qgiv friends, we think you’re amazing. What are YOU thankful for this year?
